Welsdom Affiliate Program Rules and Guidelines

Section 1: Who These Rules Apply To

These rules apply to every individual, creator, influencer, blogger, website owner, app developer, and business entity who participates in the Welsdom Affiliate Program — regardless of country, platform, or content format. By joining the program and receiving your affiliate link, you agree to these rules in full.

Section 2: Required Disclosures

All affiliates must disclose their affiliate relationship clearly and conspicuously on every piece of content that includes an affiliate link or earns a commission. This is required by law in Canada (ASC guidelines), the United States (FTC guidelines), the United Kingdom (ASA guidelines), and the European Union (EU Directive on Unfair Commercial Practices).

Required Disclosure Language

You must include one of the following disclosures (or equivalent) in every post, video, email, story, or page that contains your affiliate link:

• "This post contains affiliate links. I may earn a commission if you make a purchase — at no extra cost to you."
• "Ad / Affiliate: I partner with Welsdom and may earn a commission from sales."
• "#ad #affiliate" in social media posts (must appear at the start of the caption, not buried in hashtags)
• "Sponsored / Affiliate Content — I earn a commission when you purchase through my link."

Where Disclosures Must Appear

• Blog posts: At the top of the post, before any affiliate link
• Social media (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook): At the very start of the caption, not hidden below a "more" collapse
• YouTube videos: Verbally within the first 30 seconds AND in the video description above the fold
• Emails / Newsletters: In the email body before or directly adjacent to the affiliate link
• Stories (Instagram/TikTok/Facebook): Using the platform's built-in "Paid Partnership" label, or a clear text overlay
• Podcast mentions: Verbally at the time of the mention

Section 3: Approved Product Claims

Affiliates may ONLY use the following types of approved claims when promoting Welsdom products. These claims focus on taste, tradition, ingredients, and general wellness lifestyle — not disease treatment or cure.

Approved Claims — AroJuice (Aronia Berry Juice)

• "Rich in antioxidants from aronia berries"
• "Made from whole aronia berries, cold-pressed"
• "A traditional Eastern European wellness drink"
• "Part of a balanced, antioxidant-rich diet"
• "Enjoyed daily as part of a wellness ritual"
• "Deep, tart, berry-forward flavour"
• "No added sugar, no artificial flavours"
• "Family-friendly, plant-based beverage"

Approved Claims — Sea Moss Products

• "Made with wildcrafted Irish sea moss"
• "Contains naturally occurring trace minerals"
• "A plant-based wellness supplement"
• "Used in traditional Caribbean wellness practices"
• "Vegan, gluten-free, and sustainably sourced"
• "Easy to add to smoothies, teas, or foods"

Approved Claims — Pet Supplements (PetJoy)

• "Formulated with natural ingredients for pets"
• "Made with omega-rich fish oil"
• "Supports a shiny coat and healthy skin"
• "A daily wellness supplement for dogs and cats"
• "Manufactured in a GMP-certified facility"
• "Loved by pet owners across North America"

Approved Claims — Yuemi Skincare

• "Formulated with plant-derived active ingredients"
• "Fragrance-free, paraben-free, cruelty-free"
• "Gentle enough for sensitive skin"
• "Dermatologist-tested formula"
• "Part of a consistent skincare routine"
• "Clean beauty, made in Canada"

Section 4: Prohibited Claims and Behaviours

The following are strictly prohibited for all affiliates, on all platforms and in all formats. Violating these rules will result in immediate suspension and may result in termination of your affiliate account without payment of outstanding commissions.

Prohibited Health and Medical Claims

• ❌ "Boosts immunity" or "strengthens the immune system"
• ❌ "Supports thyroid health" or "balances hormones"
• ❌ "Detox" or "detoxifies the body" or "cleanse"
• ❌ "Cures," "treats," "prevents," or "heals" any disease or condition
• ❌ Any reference to cancer, diabetes, heart disease, arthritis, or any specific medical condition
• ❌ "Anti-inflammatory" as a health benefit (unless citing an approved third-party study)
• ❌ "Fights infection" or "kills bacteria/viruses"
• ❌ "Weight loss" or "burns fat" or "speeds metabolism" (unless product is specifically marketed for this and claim is approved)
• ❌ "Lowers blood pressure" or "reduces cholesterol"
• ❌ "Better than medication" or "replace your supplements"
• ❌ Any claim that suggests the product can substitute for medical advice or treatment

Prohibited Marketing Practices

• ❌ Fake testimonials, fabricated reviews, or invented customer stories
• ❌ Misleading before-and-after images or edited transformation photos
• ❌ Claiming the product has been "endorsed" by doctors, celebrities, or health authorities unless officially confirmed by Welsdom
• ❌ Spam email campaigns, unsolicited mass DMs, or robocalling
• ❌ Misleading advertising that misrepresents the price, discount, or availability of products
• ❌ Bidding on "Welsdom," "AroJuice," "PetJoy," or "Yuemi" keywords in paid search (Google, Bing, Yahoo) unless you have written approval from Welsdom
• ❌ Creating fake news articles, advertorials, or fake review sites claiming to be independent
• ❌ Using Welsdom's logo, brand assets, or product images in ways not covered by the approved media kit
• ❌ Promoting Welsdom products on platforms or pages that contain extremist content, adult content, gambling, or hate speech
• ❌ Sharing your affiliate link in ways designed to deceive (e.g., disguising it as a non-affiliate link)
• ❌ Self-purchasing with your own affiliate link to generate commissions
• ❌ Cookie stuffing, click fraud, or any other fraudulent tracking manipulation

Section 5: Commission Structure and Payment Rules

Commissions are tracked, calculated, and paid through the UpPromote affiliate platform. You can view your earnings, clicks, conversions, and payment history at affiliate.welsdom.com.

Payment Rules

• Commissions are paid monthly, typically within 15 days of the end of the calendar month
• Minimum payout threshold: $100 CAD (or currency equivalent)
• Commissions are calculated on the net sale price after discounts, before taxes
• Returns and chargebacks will result in commission reversal
• Commissions on orders placed by you (self-referral) are not paid
• Welsdom reserves the right to withhold commissions pending fraud investigation
• Payment methods: PayPal, bank transfer (options may vary by country)

Section 6: Cookie and Tracking Policy

• Affiliate tracking cookies last 30 days from the first click
• If a customer clicks multiple affiliate links, the most recent click before purchase is credited (last-click attribution)
• Coupon code attribution overrides link attribution when both are used
• Affiliates must not manipulate tracking cookies in any way

Section 7: Brand Asset Usage

Affiliates may use the official Welsdom product photos, logos, and video clips found in the product-specific content kits below. All other usage of brand assets requires written approval from Welsdom.

Brand Asset Rules

• Do not alter, distort, or recolour the Welsdom logo
• Do not use product images to imply celebrity endorsement
• Do not use product images alongside prohibited health claims
• Do not edit product photos to show fake results or exaggerated benefits
• You may add your own affiliate disclosure text overlay to approved images

Section 8: Platform-Specific Rules

Instagram and TikTok

• Use the platform's built-in "Paid Partnership" feature wherever available
• Do not run Instagram/TikTok ads using your affiliate link without approval
• Reels and TikToks must include a verbal or text disclosure at the start of the video

YouTube

• Enable the "Contains paid promotion" toggle in YouTube Studio for any sponsored content
• Disclose verbally and in the video description
• Affiliate links must be in the description, not in pinned comments alone

Email / Newsletter

• You must have opt-in consent from all email subscribers before sending promotional content
• Include an unsubscribe link in every email
• Do not purchase email lists to promote Welsdom products

Paid Advertising

• Affiliates may run paid ads only with prior written approval from Welsdom
• No brand keyword bidding without approval (see Section 4)
• All paid ad creatives must be pre-approved by the Welsdom affiliate team

Welsdom reserves the right to update these rules at any time. Affiliates will be notified of material changes via email to the address on file in their UpPromote account. Continued use of your affiliate link after notification constitutes acceptance of the updated rules.

Frequently Asked Questions: Affiliate Payout Policy

1. What commission rate or payout amount will I receive from this affiliate program?

Our commission starts at up to 15% for new affiliates. Affiliates may qualify for higher commission levels based on performance: up to 25% for Growth level, up to 30% for VIP level, and up to 40% for special Partner arrangements. The program also supports sub-affiliate commissions, depending on your network performance.

2. What is the payout schedule / payment cycle?

We offer monthly payout options. Approved commissions are reviewed and paid on a monthly basis.

3. What is the minimum payout threshold?

The minimum payout threshold is CAD 100.

4. Is PPC allowed for this project?

PPC is allowed at your own risk and cost. Welsdom pays commission on qualified affiliate sales, but affiliates are responsible for their own PPC advertising costs. Please note that bidding on the Welsdom brand name in Google Ads is not allowed without explicit written approval. All ads must also follow our affiliate compliance rules, including no misleading claims, no spam, and no unauthorized health or medical claims.
